Video Conferencing: Traditional or Cloud-Based?

In the present days, video conferencing or shortly known as VC comes in two different forms or versions: the traditional version and the Cloud-based version. If you are currently running a business and you are thinking about using this kind of technology in your daily operations then this is a good idea so far because of the abounding benefits that you will have to reap and enjoy as you continue using it.
A VC solution is a kind of communication system that allows you to save much on travel expenses. Running a business that has multiple branches commonly entails frequent or regular visit to every branch and conducting meeting with all the people involved in the operation. So, instead of spending a huge sum of money on regular trips, you can just stay within the premise of your office and conduct a meeting without the need to go out and exerting too much of your effort.
But the big question is this: which of the two versions of VC is the one that you are going to choose? This is something that you may find it hard to decide. To help you simplify this problem, here is a glimpse of the two versions of VC so that it will be much easier for you to decide in the end.
A traditional VC is something which is still used by many companies and businesses from all over the world these days. While it offers a reliable way of communicating face to face with other people from different locations, we cannot deny the fact that this version seems to be more expensive than a Cloud-based VC. This is because a traditional VC requires buying expensive equipment first before you can start using it. This is something you may not be able to shoulder especially when your business fund is limited.
On the other hand, a Cloud-based video conferencing is something that is based in the Cloud. This means that there is a third party company that provides and delivers the service via the internet. It does not require you to buy expensive equipment because a simple laptop is good enough to get you started. However, since this kind of VC solution is Cloud-dependent, it is inevitable to experience network connection issues especially when the kind of internet connection you have is weak.
So, which of the two types of VC will you choose, the traditional or Cloud-based type?
