Traditional versus Cloud-Based Video Conferencing Technology: What to Choose?

Are you aware of the fat that meetings, conferences and important discussions can now be realized without the need to meet up personally and physically with your contacts? In short, you will no longer have to spend much of your time, money and effort so as to travel to different places to conduct a personal meeting with your employees, partners, clients and even your customers. This is a reality that can now be achieved with the use of a video conferencing (VC) technology. As of the present days, more and more companies, organizations and businesses make use of it simply because of the many advantages and benefits it offers.

There are actually two types or version of a VC technology: the traditional and Cloud-based VC solution. This time, we will be talking things that describe both options and in the end, it will be much easier for you to choose between these two.

The Traditional VC Solution
A traditional VC solution is a communication technology that has no roots. In short, this technology was created without anything to emulate. The idea of this technology is to allow two or more parties to stay connected with one another through voice and visual messages. This technological breakthrough was actually a big boom in different industries through the years. However, the popularity of traditional VCs has simply died out significantly due to their high costs. Yes, the use of VC during its early days and even these days was a way costly or expensive, making it impossible for small and medium businesses to shoulder. Since then, only few companies have made it possible to continue using this kind of technological advancement of the century.

The Cloud-Based VC Solution

After the traditional VC has its popularity died out, proponents have made it possible to design and formulate a technological innovation which is based on traditional VCs. Yes, the Cloud-based video conferencing has its roots and almost everything about it is based on its predecessor. The only difference is that it is often offered by a Cloud service provider at a price that’s more affordable. Basically, a Cloud-based VC does not necessarily require users to invest on expensive equipment and office space to start operating. In fact, you only need to have a compatible device such as a laptop, iPhone, tablet, etc. to get you going.  In a wider sense, this kind of VC is effective without the high and crippling costs.
